As a leading energy supplier, LEAG bears a special responsibility for the economy, society and the environment. By gradually replacing conventional energy sources with renewable ones and investing in future technologies, we are working towards the goal of a sustainable energy supply that combines competitiveness, security of supply and climate protection. 

Wood and renewable biomass are indispensable for the success of the energy transition. Wood already accounts for the largest share of renewable energies in the heat supply in Germany. Used efficiently and sustainably, renewable biomass offers immense potential for reducing CO2 emissions by replacing fossil fuels. With our own biomass pillar, we at LEAG are bringing together our activities in the field of renewable raw materials and bundling our commitment to green fuel and heating solutions.

Technology and innovation

We are part of LEAG. We focus on innovative concepts for decarbonising energy supply. In addition to our biomass activities, we invest in future technologies such as storage solutions, hydrogen production and the expansion of wind and solar energy.

LEAG Pellets GmbH: Bundled expertise

There is not much time left for the heating transition. Ambitious climate targets, legal requirements and rising CO2 costs are creating great pressure for action in the building sector and industry. With our wood pellets, we offer a fast, effective and cost-efficient way to switch to renewable heat. 

We are setting new standards: we have merged our subsidiaries Holzkontor und Pelletierwerk Schwedt Gmbh (HPS), Propell GmbH and Wismar Pellets GmbH into one company to ensure a secure and reliable supply for our customers. With the REKORD product brand, we not only emphasize our roots, but also our commitment to outstanding quality and excellence.

Our network of sites and unique portfolio of high-quality, domestic solid fuels offer maximum security of supply and delivery reliability. We are the experts in efficient fuel solutions, with more than 60 years of experience in refining domestic raw materials into highly efficient energy sources. Our expertise covers applications in all areas of the heating market: from heat-intensive industries to district heating and private households.
