WE ARE PARTNERS OF SUSTAINABLE FORESTRY

Forests are the green lungs of our planet. They are of great importance for biodiversity, protect soils from erosion, and regulate the water balance. Wood is an important raw material for building products and furniture, and as a renewable, sustainable energy source, it helps to avoid emissions from fossil fuels and protect the climate.

Sustainable forestry and the material and energetic use of wood make an important contribution to rural value chains and economic impulses in the regions. They form an important prerequisite for the growth and rejuvenation of forest stocks and the necessary conversion to climate-resilient mixed forests.
