We participate in several certification systems and have our business independently controlled and audited.
PEFC - Sustainable forest management
The Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) is an international certification system for sustainable forest management. The PEFC logo guarantees that the wood comes from a sustainably managed forest. Wood products that carry it come from sustainably managed forests that take into account ecological, social, and economic criteria.
FSC – Taking responsibility
The Forest Stewardship Council is an international organization that has developed a certification system for sustainable forest management. FSC-certified wood pellets guarantee that the raw material comes from a forest that is managed in a way that preserves biodiversity, water quality, and ecosystems.
SBP – Sustainable Biomass Program
The Sustainable Biomass Program (SBP) is the leading international certification system for wood pellets and other biomass used in the energy sector or industry. It ensures that biomass comes from legally managed and sustainably managed sources. The system provides transparency and traceability throughout the entire supply chain from raw materials, processing, transportation to use by the consumer. LEAG is one of the few companies that can meet the required sustainability for applications above 7.5 MW in accordance with RED II/III, with SBP and corresponding registration in the "Sustainable Biomass System" (Nabisy) of the Federal Office for Agriculture and Food (BLE).
ENplus
The ENplus certification system is a European quality assurance system for wood pellets.It ensures that wood pellets used as fuel meet the quality standards defined in the European standard EN ISO 17225-2 with regard to raw materials, production, and product properties.
ISO 50001 Energy Management
ISO 5001 is an international standard that sets requirements for an organization's energy management system. It helps companies and institutions improve their energy efficiency and optimize energy consumption. The goal of ISO 5001 is to continuously monitor, control, and improve energy consumption.
